The Kent Coast Cycling Lesson
By Tony Sears
Being about a relationship failing and neither partner having the means to move out. One of us (me) hatched a plan to escape at weekends, with the help of an old bike and a train ticket to Kent. There, I progressed along endless promenades and across margins both tidal and existential. On the way I discovered all sorts, including how I was not entirely blameless in our marriage breakdown. This life lesson is set in 1998–99, a time when mobile telephones and the internet were still new magic.
The Kent Coast Cycling Lesson is a narrative non-fiction piece that includes many coloured illustrations. It’s a work in progress that’s looking for a literary agent or publisher to help it into the world of books. tony_sears@hotmail.com / 07971 647818
